Welcome Creative Friends!

Alicia Danielle - Founder and Owner of Dandelion Art for Kids

My name is Alicia Danielle and I love art! I want to share my positive vision and passion for creativity with the world! My mission is to provide fun and educational art classes to kids that engage them mentally & socially, that are explorative, and support self-expression.

I envision kids learning art, and the lessons that come with building a challenging skill, by leaning into the power of “learning to learn.” Which is why we teach how to have a growth mindset at Dandelion Art for Kids. A growth mindset can be a tool for a lifetime of learning and growing from setbacks or challenges rather than feeling defeated. Teaching us resilience and gratitude for what we learn even if we don’t first succeed. This is why we are called Dandelion Art. Like a dandelion flower that grows even in the most trying of conditions, we believe transformation and resilience can support us to achieve anything we envision in life.

An important part of my business model is empowering women to use our art curriculum and certification to become their own independent business owners and leaders.

One reason I believe so strongly in lifting up and empowering women is that I have been in a place where I was prevented from reaching my own dreams of being an artist or owning a business; but I persisted by envisioning my life the way I wanted it to be, not the way it was. It was all I had at the time: The strength and power of my mindset. Now, I help women who have a dream to grow and lead. By providing women all the tools to be more independent, so they too can make an impact by empowering children through art, as well as inspiring other women along the way.

I have two wonderful daughters who inspire me to be better, and do better. My eldest daughter has childhood epilepsy. Sometimes that means she needs time to achieve her goals because moments can vanish during a seizure. This is also why we support people of all life experiences. It is a main goal of ours to foster inclusion. We achieve this by teaming up with people who experience disabilities to have their help packaging our art kits in support of our art instructors and little art students who need art supplies to make their visions come to life.

Please join me in supporting strong women, children, and community. Let's transform with art that empowers us to create, learn, and grow!

Create the life you love,
Alicia Danielle ("Ms. Dandelion")

Inclusive Teamwork

Picture
It takes a whole team to make sure our little artists have art supplies and a classroom that is ready when they walk through our doors ready to create art!

We support the local non-profit Opportunity Foundation's mission of "Empowering People of Diverse Abilites." We include supported workers who bring great perspectives and skill to work. We believe we learn more about others and ourselves when we are inclusive at all levels, from the students we teach art, to the team we cultivate.

We aim to have a full team of people who experience disabilities by Summer 2021 to help us package our art kits that will go out to children across the nation! If you would like to support us please contribute HERE.
